September 11

I know I'm a few days late (Darn it!) but I am dedicating this to the innocent and unknowing victims of the 9/11 attack. The people that day had started their day normally, probably kissing their kids good bye before they went to school and eating Cheerios for breakfast. Little did they know that their lives would be put in jeopardy and possibly taken. I was very little at the time, and I lived far away from New York. I was luckily unaffected by it. I still think it's unfair for little children to have to grow up confused and scared by having a family member taken or forever altered. I think it's unfair for bad people to take OUR people and OUR feeling of safety. I had a recent conversation with my 5-year-old sister about the attack. She asked "Why did the bad mans to that to us? It was mean," she came up and asked me, and I sat down with her and slowly explained the situation. She still asked "But why?" and I simply said "I don't know. It was a mean thing they did, and it hurt lots and lots, but we can do hard things and keep going! Right?" and I gave her a quick hug. It was after that sweet conversation that I realized that it wasn't America that got hurt lots and lots by the terrorists, but it was the terrorists that got hurt lots and lots. America is strong, tough, and we continued on. But it's the terrorists that will wake up and think, "What have I done to myself?" America is too strong to quit on our journey through life, and with the help of God, we can do hard things. With God, anything is possible. Don't ever give up, keep calm, carry on, and believe. Have faith that we can do it.  Take courage.

God Bless The USA and let that Star Spangled Banner Forever Wave,
