Spring Has Sprung!

Yay! Spring is officially here in California, and My dolls are so excited! Below my dolls will tell you a little about their view on spring.

Hi! My name is Emmaline, but I prefer to be called Emily. My very favorite Spring activity is playing outside with my friends in the cool, crisp spring breeze. I really like spring because my birthday is in May, which is in spring! :)
****Emma's Note***
Don't you just LOVE her bangs pulled back??

Hey! My name is Mia. And I like Spring because so many fantastic things happen in springtime. Baby animals are born, flowers bloom, and school is *finally* coming to an end. (Just 2 more months 'till June!!) Life is good. :)

Hello! My name is Felicity Evelyn Merriman, but  you can call me Felicity or Lissie. My favorite part about spring is finally getting to wear light, airy clothes. I don't know about you, but bulky winter clothes were getting old. I can at last run around without having to wear a jacket or long pants. It feels awesome to wear short-sleeved shirts and shorts! The spring air feels great. It really puts a bounce in your step!

As for mine, I like celebrating Easter and seeing the beautiful sunset outside and watching bird's eggs hatch (I have a bird's nest in my backyard!) and so many other amazing things. Spring really makes you appreciate what a lovely world we live in, doesn't it?

I hope you liked hearing about our favorite parts about spring! What are yours?

P.S. Like my new Spring header? :)

Cute Doll-Sized Backpacks!!

Doll Backpack & Lunch Bag
OK, are these doll-sized backpacks cute or what? I saw these adorable little backpack and lunch sets at the Pottery Barn Kids website, and fell in love. They look really well-made, but the price is pretty high, if you ask me. $19 is about what AG charge, but it also comes with a lunch box, so I guess it's worth it. :) Pretty darn cute if you ask me!

My PPAG Entry

Gabby at www.iheartamericangirl.blogspot.com is hosting a contest where you take 3 pictures of a doll and enter them in the contest, Picture Perfect American Girl. (Commonly referred to as PPAG) It's a more-than-one round game, and looks like a lot of fun! For more details click on the link at the bottom of this post.
I love this one because the sun reflects on her face perfectly, and makes her look so pretty.

I'm not sure why I like this one so much, but I just really like it.

This one is so cute! The ivy behind her adds such a great touch, don't you think?

I hope you liked my entry! If you want to enter, click HERE
Have you entered this contest?

Also, to answer some questions about the post before this one, I got picked because my mom saw that people were looking for people with my complexion, and The movie is called "The New Testament". And, yes, I'm planning on buying a new doll after I get payed! :)

What Is It?: Summer Everyday
What's In It?:  green shirt,jean shorts,black and white socks,green shoe heels,yellow belt,blue purse.

Katie's:

Before you read the awards, I want to say that everyone did a fantastic job and that I loved everyone's creative and cute ideas. It was a hard decision judging all of these, and I wish I could give prizes to all of you. Since I loved everyone's entries, I decided to give the honorable mentions awards to put on their blog, too!

1st Place:
Katie

I really liked her outfit design. It's so unique- American Girl's never made one like it! I can totally imagine how a doll would model it in a magazine. The little accessories are so adorable. I know that if was a real outfit I would definitely buy it!! Congrats Katie! E-mail me for your certificate and blog award! (She can't give out her address so the prize goes to second place.)

2nd Place:
Hannah

I liked her entry because of the simple yet stylish look! The shirt and jeans make a great combo together. Her enrty looks a bit like the Western Riding outfit, but it doesn't have a rustic look like that one does. it would be perfect for a horse lover anywhere! Fantastic entry, Hannah! E-mail me for your certificate and blog award!

3rd Place:
Priya

What I liked about her entry because it is so summerish and fun. The flip-flops are way cute and the dress has a great design with the watermelons on it! The rubber bands add a nice touch. I like the way she added the MAG charm in her entry, too! :) Super job, Priya! E-mail me for your certificate!

Honorable Mentions:

Emma
I really liked her entry because of the fancy and funky pattern! The swirls make give the dress such cute quality! The shoes awesome, too. I hope AG makes for high boots like those sometime! Great job, Emma! E-mail me for your award!

 Caelen
Her entry, The Summer Everyday, was so fashionable! Even though there wasn't a drawing, I could imagine it perfectly. I liked her idea of adding a purse, which is a definite necessity for summer, when your always on the go! :) AG could use some more summer outfits! E-mail me for your award!

Thanks for all of your entries, guys! I loved seeing each and every one! All of you should give yourself a pat on the back for your hard (and fabulous!) work. Thanks again!

2 in1 AG Ballerina Set!

My loot. :)

Cute Charm!! I'll have to make some sort of jewelry item out of it.

The warmers and the little slippers. Adorable!

I LOOOOOOOOVE the bag!! The skirt is really cute, and the black wrap makes a great touch. The only problem is the little straps in the leotard.;  it was a pretty tight fit. When I was putting it on I was afraid I'd rip it!

The pants. I have the little yoga mat from the Doll Crafts kit, and it would make a perfect yoga outfit along  with the leotard, wouldn't it?

Well, that's pretty much it. I also got a new comb, as you can see in the 1st picture. It's MUCH better than the one I had.

I REEEEEALY recommend this outfit. If you want it, get NOW! It's way fun and totally worth it. (Though I got it on sale) Hope I helped!

P.S. My contest ends this Friday, so please enter if you haven't!!! Also, I will post my entry tomorrow, so stay tuned!! :)

Doll-Sized American Girl Movies

Today I made some doll-sized movies. To make them, I searched on the web to find images, printed them out, cut them out, and pasted them onto cardboard. I was super physicked (spelling?) to find some with the entire thing (front, back, side).  Here They Are:

Here's The Front. There's (in order from left to right) Chrissa Stands Strong, Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, Molly: An American Girl on the Home front, Kit Kitteredge: An American Girl, Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, and The Kit Kitterdege Soundtrack.

The sides. Samantha and the Kit soundtrack are the only ones I couldn't find one with a back and a side.

The backsides.

Do you like them? If you want to make them, e-mail me and I'll e-mail you back the "covers"! I would have put them in this post, but it's not working, weirdly.

I really like the little movies, and just might have to make a TV to go with them...............Tee hee hee! :)

Speaking of AG movies, I've heard that the next one will be a musical about Julie! Here's an article about it:

Next American Girl Doll Movie to be Based on Julie Albright Doll

Let the sun shine inAt a recent press day for Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas confirmed that there are indeed plans for more American Girl movies in the pipeline.
The next American Girl to see her story make it to film? Julie Albright. "We are developing the Julie character," Goldsmith-Thomas said, "and we're doing her as a musical, as a high school musical."
"We're going to have all those great songs from the '70s," she continued. "Julie: An American Girl Musical. It's in San Francisco."
The movie is just in outline form as of now, so Goldsmith-Thomas was unable to confirm much more about it, but she did say the music will include both original songs written for the movie as well as music from the 1970s, and that they intend to do more open auditions like they did for Kit Kittredge. "Oh, you betcha," she said.

How cool is that?! I would want to try out for it, since they have open auditions, but I doubt they would be close to where I live. I'm still super excited, though!! There's never been a musical before, so it should be fun. What do you think about it?

Headbands 101

Recently I've had an obsession with making doll headbands. I've made tons and tons, and I still make them for my sisters  Bitty Twins and such. Here's some pictures of my latest creations:

These are pictures of the headbands I made on the dolls (see light tent pics below for closer up):

Now these two below are ones I made after I took pictures of the ones in the tent, so these aren't shown in  the tent.

Okay, so you know I got light lamps, but you might not know that they came with a light tent, too. When I made a lot of headbands, I found it a perfect opportunity to showcase them.

This is the light tent set-up

Like them? Please tell me your thoughts!!!!
