My Obsession

Now I have another obsession with making doll t-shirts! This morning I made 2 shirts with an amazing and simple pattern my Aunt Heather made me. It's super easy. Like, all you have to do is take an old t-shirt, put the pattern on top, cut it out, pin it and sew! :) These are the ones I made today:

This is a purple tunic I made out of an old t-shirt. I love purple, and Mia looks especially nice in it!

Another kinda artsy view of the tunic.

This is a shirt I made out of a yellow t-shirt that was too small for me. I just added on a cupcake appliqué to snazz it up a bit. ;)

Two cute models!

I hope you like them! I will probably make more since I have me an entire bin full of old t-shirts!!!!!! :) My aunt was saying she might sell the pattern on Etsy, so I'll have to let you know if she ever does follow through with that.

P.S. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! I put up a patriotic background just for the occasion. ;)  On Monday I'm going to a big picnic with my church, and it should be fun! Are you doing anything special for Memorial Day? If so, what?

Utah! Part 1

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, but I was in UTAH!! I have some snow pics, which I'll post in PART 2!!!!! :)

This is a dress I sewed with my aunt and cousin. Haven. This is the first one I tried, which didn't turn out too well, so I tried again:

Yay! The success. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!

Ruffles!!

More ruffles!!

I also made this cute headband there! Haven and I made dresses and headbands for her doll, Kit, too!

Speaking of hair, here's Felicity's hairstyle! I saw a girl with this hairstyle at Macy's there, and just had to try it on one of my dolls!! Isn't it cute?

Also, I found some great stuff at the DI there:
(The DI stands for Deseret Industries and is like Goodwill.)
Like this awesome hat!

I plan on taking off the some of the dirty flowers and ribbon, and adding my own new ones on!

And I also found this adorable little Yorkie puppy! (Our Generation Brand)

Isn't she sweet?
So fluffy, just like Sugar!

I'm not sure what to name this little sweetheart. Any ideas????? Please comment any ideas!!!

Well, if you din't get bored from this long post, I have one thing more to say:
I will post the 17 follower contest tomorrow (Or as soon as possible)!! Also, Thank you to my new followers, Mackenzie Rae, Elizabeth, and  Lilac!

Stay tuned for Utah! Part 2.............

Doll-Sized American Girl Movies

Today I made some doll-sized movies. To make them, I searched on the web to find images, printed them out, cut them out, and pasted them onto cardboard. I was super physicked (spelling?) to find some with the entire thing (front, back, side).  Here They Are:

Here's The Front. There's (in order from left to right) Chrissa Stands Strong, Felicity: An American Girl Adventure, Molly: An American Girl on the Home front, Kit Kitteredge: An American Girl, Samantha: An American Girl Holiday, and The Kit Kitterdege Soundtrack.

The sides. Samantha and the Kit soundtrack are the only ones I couldn't find one with a back and a side.

The backsides.

Do you like them? If you want to make them, e-mail me and I'll e-mail you back the "covers"! I would have put them in this post, but it's not working, weirdly.

I really like the little movies, and just might have to make a TV to go with them...............Tee hee hee! :)

Speaking of AG movies, I've heard that the next one will be a musical about Julie! Here's an article about it:

Next American Girl Doll Movie to be Based on Julie Albright Doll

Let the sun shine inAt a recent press day for Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, producer Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas confirmed that there are indeed plans for more American Girl movies in the pipeline.
The next American Girl to see her story make it to film? Julie Albright. "We are developing the Julie character," Goldsmith-Thomas said, "and we're doing her as a musical, as a high school musical."
"We're going to have all those great songs from the '70s," she continued. "Julie: An American Girl Musical. It's in San Francisco."
The movie is just in outline form as of now, so Goldsmith-Thomas was unable to confirm much more about it, but she did say the music will include both original songs written for the movie as well as music from the 1970s, and that they intend to do more open auditions like they did for Kit Kittredge. "Oh, you betcha," she said.

How cool is that?! I would want to try out for it, since they have open auditions, but I doubt they would be close to where I live. I'm still super excited, though!! There's never been a musical before, so it should be fun. What do you think about it?

Headbands 101

Recently I've had an obsession with making doll headbands. I've made tons and tons, and I still make them for my sisters  Bitty Twins and such. Here's some pictures of my latest creations:

These are pictures of the headbands I made on the dolls (see light tent pics below for closer up):

Now these two below are ones I made after I took pictures of the ones in the tent, so these aren't shown in  the tent.

Okay, so you know I got light lamps, but you might not know that they came with a light tent, too. When I made a lot of headbands, I found it a perfect opportunity to showcase them.

This is the light tent set-up

Like them? Please tell me your thoughts!!!!
