Library Finds!

At the local library, I found some cool finds! I found a "Kirsten" Audiobook there as well as a book in a series American Girl doesn't sell anymore called "Wild at Heart Pet Volunteers". They are really great- I'm not sure why they were discontinued. From my libraries "Book Nook" (where you can buy used books for a quarter) I bought the first in the series called "Fight For Life" and the checked out the 10th ,"Time to Fly". Each book is based on a different volunteer's point-of-view.

The finds! On the right is the Kirsten audiobook and on the left is "Time to Fly".

Why, Blogger, do you insist upon uploading my pictures sideways? It's really annoying. Anyway, if you turn your body, you'll find this is the back of the book. I pixelated the name of my library for security reasons, as I did with any other pictures that had shown the name.

At the end of each book is a pretend News Article, which states the events happened in the book. Sorry it's so blurry!

All the books in the series. Sorry this is blurry as well, so here is what is says:

Fight For Life Book 1: Maggie
Homeless Book 2: Sunita
Trickster Book 3: David
Manatee Blues Book 4: Brenna
Say Good Bye Book 5: Zoe
Storm Rescue Book 6: Sunita
Teacher's Pet Book 7: Maggie
Trapped Book 8: Brenna
Fear of Falling Book 9: David
(Time to Fly Book 10: Zoe)
Masks Book 11: Sunita
Race to the Finish Book 12: Maggie

All the books are by Laurie Hales Anderson.

The back of the Kirsten Audio book. I've checked out many more of them. These are the ones I know of that are in audio books:
Kirsten
Addy
Felicity
Rebecca
Kit
Kaya
Samantha
Julie
Josephina

The CDs. Each book has it's own CD.  A while ago I did a post about them, but I didn't know there were more available. :D

Have you ever checked out any American Girl books or Audio Books from your library? I'd love to know!

Who Could it Be?

Hmmm..... A Colonial Williamsburg bag??? (Muffled rustling)

"Whew! It sure is good to be out of there! Where on Earth am I?"

"Oh, my! Someone is coming! I better hide."

"I don't see why I have to go and get the stink'n laundry basket. Why does Emma always boss me around? It's not my fault I'm to busy to pick up my clothes," Felicity mumbled.  "Wait a second....... Who's there? Why on Earth is there a Williamsb..... WILLIAMSBURG?!?! THAT'S WHERE I'M FROM!!!!!" Felicity said excitedly, rushing to the bag.

"Who are you? Why are you dressed like me.......?" said Felicity to a little girl who looked no older than 8.(Sorry I use ellipsis (......) all the time!)

"Please excuse my manners. My name is Nan Sarah Merriman from the Williamsburg, Virginia colony. "

"Nan! It's you!!! It's me, Felicity Charlotte Merriman, but You always call me Lissie!"  Felicity said excitedly, hugging her younger sister.

After much talking, laughing and hugging, Emma walked in. "Felicity, what you you doing? What's all this raucous about? I thought I told you to get a laundry basket to pick up that horrible, dirty pile of clothes in your room. And who's that?" (Trust me, I'm not nearly as fat as my shadow makes me look! Oh, and pay no attention to the handstrap on the right corner.)

"Sorry about the basket, I kinda got distracted, because  I just found my sister, Nan!"

"Oh my goodness, Felicity! You didn't tell me we were having guests! I would have prepared a room for her! Well, uh, Nan, please tell me how you came all the way from Williamsburg to California!" Emma said, picking up Nan and putting her on her lap. "Oh, well, you see, I was in my father's shop, stacking ribbons and cloth on a shelf, when all of a sudden, a customer walked in and took me! He was rather nice, though, and wrapped me up all nice and cozy in some tissue paper and placed me in that bag over there. Though, I had no idea what had happened and where I was going, so I was terribly frightened! I was put in a big, black suitcase and  put on a round, moving track, leading  me onto a big flying machine for many hours, then somehow I ended up here! I had no clue my sister was here as well, so it was a bit of a shock when she found me!" Nan said, frightened that Emma would tell her to leave. "That's quite a story, Nan! You must have been thruogh a lot to get here. Your welcome to stay for as long as you want. That is, if you would like to." Emma offered.

"Hooray! I'd love to stay!" Nan called, and jumped up and gave Emma, then Felicity a big hug. "Now, let me introduce you to my friends, and then I'll show you around the house, then get your bed set up, and then show you the school you'll attend, then........." Felicity said, taking her sister's hand and going on and on and on about the tings they'll do as they walked away.

Okay, so I bet your curious about how I really got her, aren't you? Well, my dad went there and lived my dream. See, I have always wanted to go to Williamsburg, and I was so jealous when he went by himself! Oh, well. Anyway, he brought me and my siblings back a special gift from there, and Nan was mine! I'm so glad I got her, she's so adorable!

Utah! Part 1

Sorry for the lack of posts this week, but I was in UTAH!! I have some snow pics, which I'll post in PART 2!!!!! :)

This is a dress I sewed with my aunt and cousin. Haven. This is the first one I tried, which didn't turn out too well, so I tried again:

Yay! The success. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one!

Ruffles!!

More ruffles!!

I also made this cute headband there! Haven and I made dresses and headbands for her doll, Kit, too!

Speaking of hair, here's Felicity's hairstyle! I saw a girl with this hairstyle at Macy's there, and just had to try it on one of my dolls!! Isn't it cute?

Also, I found some great stuff at the DI there:
(The DI stands for Deseret Industries and is like Goodwill.)
Like this awesome hat!

I plan on taking off the some of the dirty flowers and ribbon, and adding my own new ones on!

And I also found this adorable little Yorkie puppy! (Our Generation Brand)

Isn't she sweet?
So fluffy, just like Sugar!

I'm not sure what to name this little sweetheart. Any ideas????? Please comment any ideas!!!

Well, if you din't get bored from this long post, I have one thing more to say:
I will post the 17 follower contest tomorrow (Or as soon as possible)!! Also, Thank you to my new followers, Mackenzie Rae, Elizabeth, and  Lilac!
